The Academy is all about making new friends, and in Adda Kaleh’s smoky tones Cabaal has found the perfect complement to his sepulchral electronica. On “AJNA,” the pair appear to have set up shop in some forgotten catacomb beneath New York. Only occasional glimmers of light reveal Kaleh’s voice, hovering, wraith-like, in the gloom.
